An advocate for Monmouth
Danielle Mastropiero was raised in Monmouth County and is proud to call the Bayshore her home. As a seasoned trial attorney and a practicing registered nurse, Danielle is a vigorous advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves - whether she is fighting in the courtroom or caring for her patients on the front lines.
In her legal work Danielle prides herself on treating every client like family. In her off time she provides pro bono service to the District VIII Ethics Committee, where she conducts investigations designed to root out bad actors in the legal field to protect the public. She is also a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association and the New Jersey Association for Justice.
In addition to being a litigator, Danielle has devoted her life to the medical field. She currently works as a hospice nurse, but started her career in medicine over 26 years ago as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician. She later worked professionally in that role in Newark, New Orleans and other Communities throughout college, law school, and nursing school.
Ms. Mastropiero has been awarded a range of certificates and honorable acknowledgements as a medical professional, most notably for her participation Operation Allies Welcome, providing care to Afghan Refugees at the joint base at McGuire-Fort Dix-Lakehurst. She also received recognition from the Monmouth County Commissioners for her work in the homebound vaccine project with the Monmouth County Medical Reserve Corps during the COVID 19 pandemic. Danielle has also previously volunteered in Monmouth County as a firefighter. She enjoys honing her skills as a first responder, and completed the inaugural CERT team training hosted by the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office. She is also a CPR instructor, provides educational workshops for first responders and assists in distributing Narcan within the community.
As a first responder during Hurricane Katrina, Danielle is a strong advocate of increasing support for police as well as volunteer and professional firefighters and EMS. Her vision for Monmouth County includes expanding mental health services to those who dedicate their lives to help others.
Danielle received her bachelor’s degree from Tulane University, her juris doctorate from Rutgers School of Law and a certificate in nursing from Union County College. She lives in Keyport with her husband and rescue dogs.
If we join together and make our voices heard,
we can fight for Monmouth together!
